“Stay with us, and feel like home.” We take this statement seriously. Set in one of the oldest buildings in Dalat, and set in the center of the old town, our guesthouse has been in our family for generations as a summer vacation home, and we price ourselves to maintain its welcoming, relaxing ambiance.
With just 13 rooms, we are small enough to know our guests names, greeting you when come and go. All our rooms include private bathrooms and are equipped with fast wifi, a refrigerator, and a television. Click here to see a full list of our amenities.
Chu’s house Phuong Thanh hotel was originally built as a summer vacation home by a French merchant in the late 1930’ and is one of a few buildings in Dalat that remains unchanged till today. After the evacuation of Dalat and the fall of Saigon in 1975, the place was thoroughly ransacked, all expensive furniture and antiques was stolen. Only its parquet floors remained and the building was confiscated by the city.
In the early 1980’s, our family bought the building back from the city, fixed it up, and turned it into a small guesthouse for backpackers under the name of Phuong Thanh Hotel. Since then, it has undergone numerous upgrades in hoping that one day they will be able to restore it to it former self and continue its purposes of serving and entertaining guests. To make them feel like home.
